That's a first barn quilt

Henry & Annella Branan's barn quilt was the first one we saw while driving around Chatt Hills.  And true to the nature of barn quilts, it caused a double-take, followed by an ear-to-ear smile at seeing this delightful surprise.
The Branan's thought they had discovered a slice of heaven when moving to Chatt Hills. They both have an affinity for collecting and making rural crafts and their 1950s farm house seemed the perfect home.  And then the property next store came up for sale, and their delight grew at the thought of owning the two large shops. Today, the larger shop is Henry's woodworking domain, while the smaller building is their son's home and a canvas for their barn quilt.

A few of their favorite things

Henry selected the Flying Birds quilt pattern for the blue & white barn quilt, which was one of the first he made.   Pictured at the far right are a few of the bird houses he has made. His new design features a sunroof to help keep the birds more comfortable.
