Serving the Community for over 100 Years

The Smith Family, and its grocery store, have been serving the area that is now Chattahoochee Hills since 1914. Located at the historic crossroads community of Rico, the store offers staples, household goods, and good old-fashioned Southern hospitality as the meet-and-greet place for neighbors and visitors.
In honor of its long service and good will, Smith Grocery Store received the first barn quilt on the Chatt Hills Barn Quilt Trail. The red & green quilt pattern is known as Morning Star and North Carolina Star. But to commemorate the Smith's Family long history in the Rico Community, we have named this barn quilt, Rico Star.
