The Grand Dame of Barns

The Fountain Family Barn was originally built by the Lee Family, who was the second owner of the historic John F. Beavers House (circa 1800s) located across the street at 8655 Cochran Rd, in the Campbellton Community.
The Fountain Family purchased the Beavers House and 65 acres in 1985, and built their "forever" home on the Barn's parcel, while painstakingly renovating the Beavers House for their children. Today, the Beavers House is owned by the City of Chattahoochee Hills, while the Grand Dame of Barns is still owned by the Fountains. To celebrate the Barn's farming history, the quilt pattern "Flying Birds" (also called Farmer's Daughter) was selected for the barn quilt.

GreyStone Power - Helps with Barn Quilt Installation

When we heard that Electric Membership Cooperatives have supported other barn quilt trails in the installation of their barn quilts, we contacted Greystone Power, our local EMC, to ask for their help.  Greystone was glad to lend a hand, so they sent their bucket truck and friendly crew to help hang the Fountain Family Barn Quilt.
